Romans 3:4 Let God be true and every man a liar. In
his inimitable way Paul gives us both an offense, and defense for life on earth with these few words lets look closer. I apologize if this goes out on the news feed of those who are not a part of the MCC family but I can elaborate no further at this time as to the reason for this post. Just know it has nothing to do with MCC or it's ministries directly.
Christian schools like all para-church organizations are always balanced on the head of a pin, the name tells the story if you look at it, Christian, school. The reality is that one must influence the other. One way we like, adding Christian input to the business of school.
School in our day has been regulated and meddled with by Big Brother to the point that the very business of same has become an extension of government itself; when this implement of government begins arbitrarily to influence the Church it becomes dangerous. Christian/ school for this reason has both entities balanced on the head if a pin.
While most have a good experience with Christian schools sometimes that is not the case. Look to the verse for the answer to WHY? I am and have been told for years that regulation (ever exasperating regulation and requirement) and reality ( in order to keep Christian schools affordable the idea of male educators and administrators is very difficult because in most families one parent has to have a strong income ) it is difficult to keep people where they belong.
Men doing the Church "work" they are called to, while women do the same is becoming increasingly hard. Still
these issues are settled in the Word! Enrollment is a taskmaster as well, while most Christian schools stop short of seeing every child as a human representation of a tuition check, it does figure in. Then we are left with a
few options. Shall we put our children into the Godless public system? We could and some do for many reasons some very good. Do we home school? Some do, but not
all can.
Best case we make a calculated decision. In any case either Christian, or school will be compromised to some extent. We need a defense to combat such a
problem and that defensive strategy is simple, we must remember that man is fallen including ourselves. Trusting in man you will be disappointed and hurt. Every time, without exception, count on it. The best we can do and our only redeeming virtue is to parrot the Perfect Word, and the King it always directs us to. God alone is TRUE. We also must go on offense and, as our family had already decided to do, avoid these organizations of mans contrivance and design.
Few Churches today can say they are ordered and organized in strict adherence to God's truth, let alone these para-church organizations. Defend yourselves by
knowing and applying the Truth of this statement from Paul "Let God be true and every man (how many church?) a liar. That said know the preacher has had a good cry and now I am indignant, if the system wants a fight shame on us if we let them down. Pray for our loved ones and the organization that has attacked them.
